Today, Anna, Luke, Kyle, and Mimi were all hanging out together. Luke and Anna were like a married couple already, hugging and kissing often. Mimi still felt confused about her situation and her relationship with Kyle. And even though she promised herself to give him a chance, she still desired for the true love. All the while, Kyle was trying everything to get Mimi's attention. The Amusement park was lively with other couples at the moment when Luke and Kyle went over to the shooting booth.
Anna: Luke!! Get me something nice!
Luke: Just for you, baby.
She giggled happily when Mimi rolled her eyes. It was so funny, it was
irritating how happy they looked.
Kyle: I will get you the best prize.
Mimi blushed when Kyle kissed her cheek. He joined Luke again when the guys
were given shooting guns.
Anna: So how are you feeling now?
Mimi just shrugged her shoulders. She didn't want to think about it again. Luke
hit three targets when he went over to choose a present for Anna. Kyle hit the
all five targets when he choose a pretty bracelet for Mimi.
Mimi: Oh, it's so beautiful. *blush* Thank you, Kyle. You were really great
over there.
Kyle: *giggles* Thanks. You don't know everything about me.
While he was putting the bracelet around her wrist, Mimi started wondering if
there were things that she didn't know about Kyle, after all.
In a bit, they were walking around, talking and laughing. Anna was whispering
something in Luke's ear when Kyle put a hand around Mimi's waist and pulled her
closer to him. Mimi blushed a lot when she put a hand over his chest. What now?
Did he wanted a kiss? Kyle leaned when he touched her lips. Mimi tried not to
roll her eyes when she let Kyle kiss her. This was going to be hard…
Anna: I know!! Let's go to the Ferris wheel!!!
Mimi: Kyle, I have to go.
Kyle: Eh?
Mimi: I… I have to go and see my grandmother.
Kyle: Oh. Yes, of course.
Mimi: You sure you're not mad?
Kyle: Of course not! I will see you later.
She smiled at him when he leaned and kissed her lips softly. Mimi turned around
when she moved through the crowd. Anna watched the entire scene when she shook
her head. What was Mimi doing? Kyle really loved her. Why couldn't she just
give him a chance?
Mimi reached almost the end of town where her grandmother's house was located.
There was an enormous green field behind the house. Mimi adored her
grandmother. She was a very nice, very intelligent woman. She had taken care of
Mimi when she was a little baby. Mimi took the three steps onto the porch when
she knocked over the front door.
Lillian: Ah~ Sweet Mimi, welcome. I've missed you, darling.
Mimi: Hi, grandma!! How are you?
Lillian Williamson hugged her favorite granddaughter when she laughed.
Lillian: I am doing alright, sweetie. Come inside. Are you hungry?
Mimi: No, thank you.
Mimi was rushed into the living room when they sat over the couch.
Lillian: I was just having my afternoon tea. Do you want some?
Mimi: I am really fine, grandma.
The mature woman giggled when she sipped from her cup. Mimi looked at her
grandmother. She must've been a real beauty when she was younger. Her long hair
was dark but a little grey already. She had big green eyes that looked more
like emerald stones. She had very intelligent features, but very gentle face.
And her voice was really soft and soothing. Lillian Williamson put her cup down
when she looked at her granddaughter.
Lillian: So I've heard that you've been matched up with Kyle.
It was amazing how her grandmother knew all the news even though living so far
away from the city center.
Mimi: Yes, grandma.
Lillian: And how are you feeling about it? I am not very certain that boy is
good enough for you.
Mimi was surprised and tried to hold her laugh. Her grandmother never much liked
Kyle. When Mimi played with him when they were little kids, her grandmother
always reprimanded Kyle when Mimi ended up crying.
Mimi: Well, I was surprised when his photo came out next to mine. From the good
side, I at least know Kyle and what he is like.
Lillian: But on the bad side?
Mimi looked at her grandmother who had her worried expression over her face.
Sometimes, Mimi felt like her grandmother cared more about her than her own
parents did. And certainly, her grandmother knew her better than they could
ever do.
Mimi: I don't know, grandma. All this is confusing me. And he wants to kiss me
all the time.
Lillian Williamson crossed her arms over, pouting. Mimi could almost guess that
Kyle didn't stood any better for her grandmother than he used to in the past.
Mimi: I don't think I will ever love him. I don't feel anything with him. Well,
he is just a friend. But it's not like I can do anything about it.
Lillian: The rules, huh? Let me tell you something, darling. I was in the same
predicament as you are now.
Mimi was surprised when she looked at her grandmother.
Mimi: Well, I guess… but grandfather…
Lillian: It wasn't your grandfather that was my match.
Mimi was dumbfounded when her grandmother giggled. Then, she sighed a bit.
Lillian: I was matched up with somebody else. I, too knew him well. Perhaps,
not so well as you know Kyle, but still…
Mimi: I didn't know this!! What did you do then?
Lillian: I didn't resign to my fate. I hated how everyone tried to decide my
life. I've fought for what I wanted. I didn't give up my dreams. It was then
that I've met your grandfather.
Mimi was shocked and surprised from her grandmother's story that she couldn't
believe that it was true. But she knew that it was. Her grandfather passed away
when she was 7. She remembered him as confident, caring, and very brave man.
Lillian: No one approved of our relationship, of course. We didn't care. We
loved each other.
Mimi looked at her grandmother when Lillian stared out in space, probably
remembering the love of her life.
Lillian: Well, I don't want to bore you much so in the end we showed everyone
that we're made for each other. We married and I've had your father. Obviously,
this match was better than I could have ever had with another man. It was a
true love with your grandfather.
Mimi looked down at her lap, feeling more resigned about her own fate. She
could never be like her grandmother. She was shy and uncertain. She wasn't
brave at all.
Lillian: That is why I am so worried about you, darling. I don't think that you
will be happy with Kyle.
Mimi: But there is nothing that I can do about it, grandma.
Lillian: Who knows? Maybe your fate has better things planned for you.
Mimi was puzzled at this and couldn't understand what her grandmother meant.
Lillian: Well… let's just forget about all this, shall we? I've upset you.
Mimi: No, you didn't, grandma. I am happy that you've told me this. I always
knew how much you loved each other with grandfather, but I haven't realized how
much more until now.
Lillian smiled at her granddaughter when she hugged her close. She wished that
she could help her somehow.
Mimi left the house when she looked up at the sky. It was sunny without a
single cloud. Mimi sighed a bit when a slight breeze appeared. She put a hand over
her head, keeping her hair from going all over the place when she looked
towards the green fields. Something was making her to go over there so she
followed after her heart's voice. She was moving through the long grass when
she laughed since it was flapping through her face time and again. She finally
found herself at a clearing when she looked around, amazed. There was a lake!!
And everything looked so peaceful and so beautiful here. Mimi moved closer when
she kneeled down, putting her hand under the water. The slight breeze moved
past her again when she closed her eyes, enjoying the calm surroundings.
Suddenly, she heard a branch cracking from nearby when she got up, startled.
Tommy: Sorry. I didn't want to scare you.
Mimi: It's… alright.
In front of her was standing the most handsome guy that she has ever seen!! He
was taller than her; athletic body; very cool features; short brownish hair;
deep brown eyes; he was so hot!! Mimi started feeling dizzy from looking at
him. Who was he? She wasn't sure if she has seen him in town before.
Tommy: Do you often come here?
Mimi: Eh, not really. It's my first time.
Tommy: Oh. I see.
Mimi: My grandmother's house is over there.
Tommy: You're… Mrs. Williamson's granddaughter!!?
Mimi: Eh, yes? Do you know her?
Tommy: Well… yes…
He seemed a little embarrassed. Mimi felt confused. What could have been her
grandmother doing with this boy? Were they friends?
Mimi: I am Mimi.
Tommy: Nice to meet you. I am Tommy.
Mimi: Tommy?
Tommy: Well, it's actually Thomas, but nobody calls me that. Everyone calls me
Tommy.
Mimi: So you're from around here?
Tommy: Yes. Well, I don't go to the city center much. I like it here; it's more
peaceful.
Mimi figured as much. That was why she never has seen him before. Tommy was
looking at Mimi from head to toe. Sometimes, Mrs. Williamson would tell him
stories about her granddaughter but he never thought that she would look so
beautiful. Mimi was just the most beautiful girl that he has ever seen! She was
shorter than him; sweet features; sensual lips; long dark hair; deep green
eyes; angelic voice; elegant body with perfect breasts; she looked so shy and
innocent; he never has seen a sweeter girl in his life before.
Mimi: Ehm… I have to go now. It's a long walk to home so…
Tommy: Would you want to meet again?
Mimi blushed, hoping that perhaps he liked her.
Mimi: Tomorrow? Here again?
Tommy: Sure. *giggles* I will wait for you.
Mimi's heart started beating louder than ever when she bid him goodbye and
paced through the fields again. She actually met him! Mimi couldn't believe her
luck!! She finally understood what her grandmother meant. Her fate had other
plans for her, indeed!!
